ICMM 2026

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 1st International Computational Chemistry Meeting (ICCM 2026), which will take place from 8–11 September 2026 in Kragujevac, Serbia. The meeting is organized by the Serbian Society for Cheminformatics and Molecular Modelling and will be hosted at Hotel Industrial 1853, Kragujevac.

The primary aim of ICCM 2026 is to bring together educators, researchers, and industry professionals from across the diverse fields of computational chemistry. The scientific program will span a broad range of theoretical and experimental molecular modelling topics, including the application of chemical graph theory, molecular and quantum mechanics optimisation methods, ligand- and structure-based drug design methods, and artificial intelligence algorithms for understanding the chemical features, properties and activities of computationally designed molecules with potential industrial and medical applications. By gathering experts from around the world, the meeting seeks to foster the exchange of ideas, present cutting-edge developments, and stimulate discussions on future directions in computational chemistry, molecular modelling, and theoretical chemical science.

In addition to the scientific sessions, a hands-on workshop on the use and application of www.3d-qsar.com, the first web application for Pharmaceutical Chemistry, will be organized. 3D-QSAR.com offers user-friendly and advanced tools for developing both ligand-based and structure-based 3D-QSAR models, as well as for performing a variety of useful operations on molecular datasets. Recent developments based on Graph Convolutional Networks (GCNs), representing a promising new frontier in chemical modelling, will also be presented. The practical application of  www.3d-qsar.com will be demonstrated by Professor Rino Ragno, Full Professor of Medicinal Chemistry at the Department of Drug Chemistry and Technology, Sapienza University of Rome, Professor Milan Mladenović, Full Professor of Biochemistry at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Kragujevac, and Professor Alessio Ragno, Associate Professor at EPITA Lyon.

The conference will also include numerous social events, beginning with a guided walking tour of Kragujevac’s historic pedestrian zone—showcasing its Art Nouveau architecture, the Old Church of Miloš, the Old Assembly Building, Amidža’s Konak, and Prince Mihailo’s Residence—followed by a gala dinner at Hotel Industrial 1853. Participants will also visit the Šumarice Memorial Park and the 21st October Museum to honor World War II victims before gathering for a traditional Serbian gala dinner at an authentic local kafana. Additionally, there will be an organized excursion to Topola to visit the Oplenac Mausoleum, the royal resting place of the Karađorđević dynasty famed for its remarkable mosaics, followed by a gala dinner and wine tasting at a distinguished local winery. Finally, the social program will wrap up with a farewell lunch, rounding out the event’s emphasis on fostering meaningful collaborations, innovative ideas, and professional connections through these informal interactions.
